A newly established biomass and waste-to-energy power generation project in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is seeking funds to fully operationalize its ambitious vision. This innovative project is designed to generate a maximum power production capacity of 25 MW, with an initial operational capacity of 15-17 MW. The power generated will be supplied to the Government of Tamil Nadu, prominent government corporations, and other major institutions. USP is that the technology we use will be introduced firstly by us. Spread over 50 acres of purchased land, 70% of the area will be utilized for plant infrastructure, while the remaining portion will be designated for waste management and by-products, which can also be monetized. The project currently employs 50 professionals, including experts in operations, marketing, supply chain, production, and engineering. Funding of ₹100 crores is required through a mix of debt and equity to set up the complete plant and machinery, ensuring optimal operations. A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Tamil Nadu government is underway, further solidifying the project’s business model. This venture presents a promising opportunity in sustainable energy production, with immense potential to contribute significantly to the renewable energy sector in Tamil Nadu and beyond.
