A Bio Diesel startup is now looking for an investor who is interested in funding the business. This 3 months old startup, situated at the economic hub in Surat, Gujarat is asking for Rs 5 crs for a 37% equity dilution. The start-up has a vision to decrease carbon dioxide emissions and dependency on finite fossil fuel by using a clean alternative and renewable fuel for diesel engines. The startup will be producing bio diesel using animal fats, palm fatty oil, Oil seeds and used cooking oil for producing bio diesel. All the raw material will be sourced through 3rd party providers and then creating Bio Diesel through a chemical process which includes, esterification, trans esterification , distillation process and then filtration and dispatch. The raw material will cost 50rs. The production costs will be Rs 5 to 6 per litre including all the variable and fixed costs. The finished product will be Bio Diesel and Glycerin.
